South Florida hospitals relieved as federal government pledges $1B for uncompensated care
Jackson Health System and other South Florida hospitals that provide a great deal of uncompensated care expressed relief on Thursday as the federal government preliminarily pledged $1 billion to cover low-income patients at safety-net hospitals in the state.
