Pet Supermarket acquired by Atlanta private equity firm

Sunrise-based Pet Supermarket has been acquired by Roark Capital. The Atlanta-based private equity firm said the pet specialty retailer would keep its headquarters in South Florida, according to a news release announcing the deal Wednesday. Diane Holtz, Pet Supermarket's CEO, will also continue to lead the company.
