Feds approve ferry service between Florida and Cuba

The U.S. government approved ferry service between Florida and Cuba for the first time in more than 50 years, according to the BBC. Companies will still have to clear bureaucratic hurdles before carrying passengers and cargo between the two countries. Miami-based United Americas Shipping Services and Fort Lauderdale-based Havana Ferry Partners both told the BBC that they would offer ferry service to Cuba as soon as possible.
