Pembroke Pines breaks ground on $58M civic center

The city of Pembroke Pines recently broke ground on a $58 million civic center. The project at Pines Boulevard and Palm Avenue is being constructed by Stiles Corp. and was designed by Cartaya and Associates Architects. It will feature a new city hall, a 3,500-seat feature, commission chambers, and an 11,000-square-foot art gallery named after Mayor Frank C. Ortis.
