Renovations at Miami Beach hotel to displace 119 workers

North Carolina-based Boykin Management Company, which currently manages The Alexander All Suite Oceanfront Resort in Miami Beach, will lay off 119 people at the hotel as it undergoes changes.

The employees will be permanently laid off May 4 as the property undergoes a major ongoing renovation and construction project, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice filed Monday.
